Hi, Anyone any idea why the automatic thread cutter on my Elna 580+ only cuts the bobbin thread and not the top thread. Both have the same thread, Aurofil Cotton 50wt. I've checked my instruction manual but this error isn't listed. Also is it possible for a sewing machine to dislike a particular thread. It doesn't seem to like Gutterman polyester 50wt, certainly not in the bobbin anyway. It doesn't wind tightly enough no matter what speed the machine goes at. Thanks. Jennifer
