Corinne says...
One thing that always fascinates people about owls is their magnetic gaze. I wanted my felt owl to have this quality. I used retro colours for mine and played with the contrasts such as the turquoise with orange and brown. These three colours alone take me straight back to my childhood but you could go for a more natural look with soft browns or for a fresh pastel look. The key is to have fun in choosing and mixing your colours and do not be scared to be bold in your choices.

About Corinne Lapierre
Corinne Lapierre studied Fine Art in France before moving to the UK to study Fashion Design. After working as a fashion designer for a few years, Corinne studied millinery, through which she fell in love with felt and its many qualities. In 2009 Corinne started her own craft business as a felt maker, and her company, based in Leeds, UK, now sells an expanding range of craft kits and patterns designed for adults and children. Corinne lives in Yorkshire with her three children and two cats. She was awarded Best British Brand in the Craft Business Awards 2021 and has sold a number of best-selling books. - Turquoise felt, at least 27½ x 13¾in (70 x 35cm)
- White felt, 12 x 6in (30 x 15cm)
- Orange felt, 4 x 6in(10 x 15cm)
- Golden yellow felt, 6¼ x 6in (16 x 15cm)
- Brown felt, 12 x 8in (30 x 20cm)
- Dark turquoise and yellow embroidery thread
- Toy stuffing, about 3½oz (100g)
