Make these sweet strawberry pincushions and brighten up your sewing room.
About the project
These pincushions are so speedy to stitch and look fabulous too. We've made ours as handy pin storage, but you can also use them as pattern weights or simple decorations too! They'd also make such a thoughtful gift.
What skill level is this sewing pattern?
This is a beginner-friendly “quick make,” and shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to stitch!
Debbie's Top Tips
- You can add pellets into the point of the strawberry to weight it down, therefore it won't roll around when you're popping your pins in.
- If you have sand in your pin cushions, the sand will help to sharpen your pins!
- Pack your toy filler tight so that the strawberry holds its shape.
- Heat erasable pen
- Scissors
- Circle template
- Ruler
- Needle and thread
- Iron
- One 9in (22.75cm) semi circle of fabric
- Two 4in (10.25cm) squares of green fabric for the leaves
- One 4in (10.25cm) square of Bondaweb
- One small button
- Toy filler
- Sand or pellets (optional)
