HELP PLEASE. Does anyone have a 12inch square piece of the material “ Waterproof Teflon Coated Panama cotton in William Morris’ OrchardTourmaline” I have just cut out the three pocket bag, with just enough of this material then I realise I need another piece for the flap, which I don’t have. I was very disappointed when I realised. I have asked Debbie if they have anymore and she doesn’t think so. I would be really grateful if someone has a piece so I can finish the bag. I would of course pay you for it. Thank you, Blodwen.

Laura, thank you, not sure if it’s the right weight but I have sent off for a sample so that will help. Hope you are back to normal re settled back to this cold weather.

I used some of my hand weaving to make a pouch this morning. Hand weaving can be tricky to sew as it can unravel easily . I put woven interfacing on the weaving and h630 on the lining . Is a little bulky at the seams so will rethink that next time

HYSC lives are once again month on this platform. Debbie does a live chat on Wednesday 4pm and Saturday 11am as a general rule which is not HYSC led though is often mentioned during the chat. She was missing this Wednesday, just read another ‘ask a member’ and she was poorly on Wednesday apparently hence no live chat.

Hi I’m considering upgrading my machine to a Juki Dx7. I have a Brother at the moment. My husband occasionally gives a me a sewing project involving heavier fabrics eg binding some blackout blinds in his camper van or altering cushion shape covers. Do you think the dx7 can cope with denser fabrics?

I have a DX7 and it can handle such projects, it’s a great machine. I’d recommend one for sure.

When I sew the BOTM, the foot/fabric seems to slip towards the end! Help! It’s very frustrating.
