Hi all, I have a question regarding interfacing please. What type of interfacing should I use to stabilise baby sleepsuits and vests to make a memory bear? I am based in the UK
Kate replied: 4 Mar 26 at 08:37
Thank you so much Laura, apologies for the delay in reply. Of course, now you suggest G700, I have used that before with other projects. I don't know why I didn't think of it myself. I just find all the interfacing options so confusing. Once again, many thanks. Kind regards, Kate

Can someone tell me an easy way to find out to make the bears. I got the answer for clothes but I can’t get page 6 in issue 2. Too complicated for me. Thank you
Laura replied: 28 Feb 26 at 09:54
Once you have read about the bears in the ezine you can press the link at the top of page 7 which takes you to the project page with the free templates and step by step instructions. The project is also available in the project section in the club so as a Member you can easily access them there too. Hope this helps.

The little bag we are making tomorrow is it possible to use a waterproof fabric for the lining and if so what type should I purchase please?
Laura replied: 28 Feb 26 at 10:09
Definitely could have a waterproof lining..you can buy waterproof fabrics some are food safe and others like rip stop are lightweight and economical. If you intend to make a few linings then a shower curtain might be a solution and easy to purchase. Just remember not to iron your lining at any stage in the make as it will melt or harden.

Why is there 2 different measurements on the pro storage container with dividers for main fabric and lining
Laura replied: 28 Feb 26 at 10:14
I think it is because of the seam allowance that is required in the lining to fit the dividers. Step 6 says the lining should be wider so sounds like it is meant to be 😊

I have asked about my payment, to no avail. Members renewing now only pay £50.00 but I paid £60. So I pay an extra £10.00????? Furthermore I cannot download the magazine either. There is no link where there should b e a link. mh
HYSC replied: 26 Feb 26 at 16:55
Hi, sorry to hear you are having problems. If you head to the blog and the magazine here https://www.halfyardsewingclub.com/blog/half-yard-sewing-club-member-magazine-issue-four Look under the cover for the circle with three lines - in there is the download button. Click that and it will download a pdf. It does take a while though so it will probably just happen in the background. It should download to where you norrmally store PDFs. The £50 is an offer for members who want to lock in an extra 365 days for £50. The new renewal fee is £80 so we wanted to offer a special price for members for their loyalty. Please do feel free to lock in an extra year before the 13th as well, as that would take you to membership in 2028. Instructions are in the email we sent and we will be reminding members in the 1st March newsletter!

Hi. I'm trying to download magazine, but it says download from menu below. All i have is the front page of the magazine and nothing under the mag to download. What am i doing wrong. Thank you. Tried looking in blog but nothing there.
HYSC replied: 26 Feb 26 at 16:35
Hi Are you using a mobile device or a computer? If you are on a computer it might be loading slowly - if you click the arrow to the left of the cover it will take it to the next page. If you can't see it can you try updating your browser or trying a different browser in case it's not displaying correctly? If you don't want to view online, underneath the cover you should se a circle with three lines - that's the menu - in there is the download option. Click it and it will download it to where your pdfs are normally stored. It seemed to take a while so it will probably be happening in the background once you click the download button. I hope that helps! Claire

Not tech savvy!! Tried to change from monthly to annually using the special code for existing members and it won't let me. Keep getting a red message saying the code is only for current members which I have been for quite a few years!! What am I doing wrong?
barb replied: 26 Feb 26 at 04:39
Here is a post from hysc from further down. I think it’s the fact you are changing membership type is causing the issue. You need to use the link in the email and follow the instructions from that. If not email info@halfyardsewingclub.com for help. Hi all! If you are planning on buying the add-on time (for annual and monthly members) please use the code that we sent you here https://halfyardsewingclub.com/purchase-extra - the link in the email. if you go to change memberhip type and are a monthly member you will be charged the difference to upgrade from monthly to annual (at around £75) and you won't receive the offer price. If you have accidentally done this please contact us and we will refund the difference. Thanks! Claire, HYSC
