Hi, I am making the spring wonky cushion, I am doing the window boxes with the scribly greenery and I keep getting big clumps of cotton on the back and the top cotton snapping (hate threading the needle!) I am using a new universal needle, any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Should I use a ball-point needle to sew elastic onto a waistband? Any tips would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if you can use the build a bag patterns directly onto bosal foam and cut fabric out 1/4 inch bigger .

I'd use a contrasting fabric, maybe pick up on the colour of the flowers in the cork...

Any suggestions as to how to remove glue from interfacing on my iron ????

I picked up a useful hint from a Sewing page on Facebook and now I always use a paracetamol tablet when anything gets stuck to my iron. Hold the tablet with a pair of tweezers and rub on a hot iron and then wipe with a cloth and hey presto off the stuck mess comes. Very satisfying. Give it a try.

I am in the middle of sewing with a twin needle and my bobbin has run out. Can I refill my bobbin whilst my twin needle is still threaded with one thread. It just takes me such a long time to thread the needles as I can't see them very well so hopefully I won't need to.

Hi hope you can help me please? I've seen a sewing tutorial on how to make a quilt using flannel fabric (no one of Debbie's) Please can you let me know what fabric I should use as you wash the quilt after making it and then it gives a frayed edge. Thank you Lorraine Manton

Flannel makes a lovely soft quilt, but any woven cotton fabric would have the same effect...
