Hi any one having the promble that i am having try printing the pattern for maddie doll but keep cutting out the ends of the print down size the pattern to fit the paper but still miss out the end lines of each piece of the pattern,i have measured and the pattern is coming up the size,but i am having to draw in all the bottom lines.

Hi all, thought I'd pass on a little tip.? I've just?found ?if you add a glue dot to the end of the presser foot screw its so much easier to to remove and replace. x

Does anyone have a pattern to make a facemask? It would be useful to make one or two out of a linen fabric. I will have hay fever soon and it would be nice to wear one on my daily exercise outing with the dog so that I don't frighten people with my cough or sneeze during this coronavirus situation. ?

Hi Kate, if you print out actual size the size of the pattern is correct, the measurements need amending, I'm not sure where some of them came from! Apologies for the confusion!

Hi if your pattern pieced match up and it looks quite big I wouldn't worry about it just cut out as normal luv gill x

Not really, I'm used to seeing patterns stating 'back' Or 'front' not outer pocket. I'll get used to Your way. Although it may take some time. Aged person. That's my excuse.

Is the front and back not one and the same just measure them see if they match up I've made it and from memory I think they do gill

Can I use insulated lining in place of foam stabilise for a sewing machine mat? And if I can, could that double up to iron/press on? Want to do some projects while isolated and limited access to materials.

You could use it as a pressing mat but I wouldn't risk using it on a table top, I don't think insulated wadding would be enough to stop the heat going through...

Has anybody made the Convertible Backpack from 100% Cotton Quilting Fabric for the top and bottom section? ?I was just wondering if the cotton fabric is durable enough to make the bag. ?I don't want a floppy bag. Kind Regards Kate

If you are sewing layers of batting and fabric you are better using a walking foot; this has ridges on the top as well, and makes it easier for the 3 layers to move through the machine at the same feed rate, using the feed dogs on the bottom; this stops you getting the dragging effect and jamming you were talking about. I drop the feed dogs when I am free motion quilting, so I control the movement of the fabric, not the machine. A slide mat is also a good investment (like Supreme Slider); it has a Teflon top, and enables the fabric to slide with zero friction; it has a self sticking underside that grips to your machine and is easy to remove. This makes free motion so much easier!

I'm planning to make a boho bag I saw on you tube but they used denim and j want to use cotton both outer and inner fabric. Should I interface either fabric ? And is fusible fleece a possible ? I'm so confused xx?

If you need a bag that will stand up on it's own, Bosal Foam is great! It is lightweight, designed to be sewn, and works great in bags.
