Does everyone find when watching HYSC video instructions that their screen frequently goes dark while watching? I don’t usually have this issue on other sites and I’m wondering if it’s because I’m watching on an iPad and whether I need to alter my settings. Many thanks x

I find the same thing on my phone when I watch the videos. Hope someone can suggest a quick fix!

Step 9 of fluted hem skirt make…..where does second piece of front waistband come from as I have only one cut on fold? Very confused….😵💫
HYSC replied: 15 Apr 25 at 16:31
Apologies Tina! This is, of course, meant to read 'cut two' on the front waistband piece. We shall update the patterns imminently. Thank you for flagging. Very best wishes, team HYSC x

Can you advise please. I have purchased some lovely linen mix fabric to make the loose wide leg summer trousers. Would you advise washing before use. I have measured my hips and cut out generously but would like some advise. It does seam a shame to wash the fabric cus worried it will appear less crisp after washing. Any advice would be helpful. TIA.

Thank you Kim. Your reply is appreciated. I will go ahead and give them a delicate wash. Thank you so much. Tina

Can anyone recommend an online printing service for 0 size pattern pieces. Many thanks . Carol
June replied: 12 Apr 25 at 22:05
Hi Carol I ordered an A0 pattern online (for the ‘fluted hem skirt’) from Little Legs Fabrics Ltd. (£3.50 for the 2 pages). The service was excellent/prompt. I would use them again. Hope this helps. June

Thank you Barb. As I'm a new sewer. I'm not sure which part is where the trousers taper in.
barb replied: 10 Apr 25 at 09:22
Sorry..... probably not very clearly written. You can shorten at the leg part....... that's the straight bit at the bottom. Or you can shorten higher up where the shaping is. All I meant was if you are reducing significantly then rather than make the adjustment all in one place you can shorten at 2 points Maybe cut out the pattern piece and place it over a pair of trousers that are the right lenght Then see where you need to adjust and fold the pattern accordingly.

Hi Debbie and Team, I’m working my way through the weekly blocks and have found a couple of anomalies. One being week 17 where the petals appear to be incorrect on the cutting instructions and also week 9. The overall length is about 5” to long. I’ve checked my measurement over and over and are correct from the instructions. Can you advise of any more of these as I don’t want to run out of material.

Thankyou Barbara for your prompt reply. That helps a lot. HYSC, I will check as I go along and get back to you. Thanks Andrea

Where can I find the video of Debbie putting the frame into the Chelsea bag please
Laura replied: 10 Apr 25 at 08:20
Debbie showed how she did this on Sewing Street so you can look back on their You Tube. I have put the frames into bags if I can help at all let me know your query on here. If you have got to the stage of replacing the pin I use an awl to do this. Put the awl through all the connectors from the opposite side and then push the pin in ..you will need to work the awl and pin together and then the pin will fit through all the connectors. Repeat this for the other side. Hope this helps 😊
