Hi I have 2 questions for the drawstring trousers. Do I cut the front and the back on fold then cut the middle so it's 4 separate pieces? As if I cut on fold then I don't have to join the 2 front or back pieces together. Also how do I shorten the length as I'm only 5ft 3" and I don't see a line like the one in tutorial of how to shorten on the printed paper pattern.

No, this is not on the fold. Only cut on the fold if the pattern says to do this. I would shorten in 2 places, one at the top when the troursers taper in, and once on the straight bit of the leg. So a line in each place and then fold as shown on the hints and tips. If you want to reduce by 2 inches then an inch on each. Hope this helps.

Hi Is there a pattern issue with Maddies spring pj’s? The top comes out at 4 inches wide after sewing the sides together. However, the instructions say gather top front and back to 5 inches. The top only just fits Maddie without the gathers. I cut two tops on the fold. Thank you.

Thats ok. Most pattern pieces have at least one measurement marked and its always worthwhile checking this with a ruler to see if all is well . Hope it solves the issue

I have found 3 pairs of plastic bag handles and wonder if anyone has ideas of how to make a pattern and sew them. Must have inherited them from somewhere

Thanks Laura, just watched the video on YouTube - I’m a visual person rather than following instructions! Your tips are very useful

I am attempting to make a waisted / bum bag. I am struggling to add the fastening and slider to the webbing handle. See attached photos. I have no idea which is the top or bottom. Does anyone know if Debbie has any tutorials on these types of fastenings or of making these types of bags? Help From Mrs Confused.

Once you have clicked on 'manage my subscription' you just need to scroll down the page a little to get to the heading 'manage subscription' and the cancel button is there.
