Can you buy waterproof lining material? I am making a beach bag.
Laura replied: 7 Jun 26 at 16:09
You can use rip stock which is lightweight and water resistant or perhaps a shower curtain would suit your needs as I have used one as a lining for wash bags etc.

Hi apart from the blue & green stripe does anyone know where the other colours come from as I can’t see on DS sewing site. Thank uou
Laura replied: 7 Jun 26 at 16:06
My initial answer said where to find fat quarters but looking at the pattern you might need more than that. I think I would do any lining or unseen bits with a plain or perhaps a calico so not to waste the loveliness of the striped fabric. You might also find some striped pillowcases in the usual stores which might be a cheaper source of fabric 😊

There is nothing for sale on this site. Debbieshoresewing.com is where to look.

Hi, I have made two batwing tops but both neck bands seem a bit loose. Can anyone help with advice on how to fix this? I don't think my photos will help! Many thanks

I have lost the code for free postage for sewing street can you help
Laura replied: 4 Jun 26 at 12:41
I don’t think free postage was an offer on HYSC. There is a code for 15% off purchases from Sewing Street under blog so that is worth a look. We wouldn’t give codes on the forum as non members would be able to view and use.

My granddaughter has asked me to 'repair' a strap from a bodice. It only needs a new clip but I've no idea what these fasteners are called or where I'd be able to buy them. Can any of you lovely HYSC members help? I remember they were used on halter neck swimsuits etc
barb replied: 31 May 26 at 16:28
Are you able to upload a photo of the clip here?. It may help people to find it .

I’m wanting to use my recently purchased rainbow cork. Are there any projects on here that use cork to give me some ideas. Thanks
barb replied: 31 May 26 at 10:07
As Laura says many of the bags on here could be used with cork. The convertable backpack for example. Go to projects and sort by bags for a few ideas. Good luck
