Hello, I hope you are all safe and well. ?I have a question about bobbin types. ?I know there is a difference between Class 15 and Class 15 J bobbins. ?Is?Bernette Style J is the same as Class 15J or Janome J bobbins? ?I'm finding it difficult to get a definite anwesr on this. ?I'm getting a Bernette b38 that requires Style J bobbins and the are probing to be a challenge to find. ?I'm hoping to find compatible bobbins that are easier to find. ?Thank you, Marcia Shepherd Massachusetts, USA.

I wanted to take a moment to follow-up on this, just in case anyone ever needs to know. I reached out to Bernina and they confirmed Class 15J and Janome J bobbins are compatible with their Style J bobbins. They said there might be a slight difference in the construction of the bobbins but they should work just fine.

Some patterns call for an erasable fabric marker. Any recommendations as there appear to be several different types on the market?
Linda replied: 20 Nov 20 at 15:47
Thank you. I suppose it depends on what I am doing with the fabric afterwards. If I'm pressing seams I don't want to be using the water and air erasable ones. I hadn't realised heat made them permanent so thank you for that. I'll buy a selection, as you suggest.

Debbie replied: 4 Nov 20 at 15:59
Should be fine, turn the handwheel by hand first to make sure the needle fits correctly in the foot, if you haven't bought the foot yet it may be an idea to buy one from somewhere you can return it...

Hi I feel like i'm going mad, a few weeks ago I watched one of Debbies videos where she made a make up bag using 2ins squares ironed onto some fleece and then you sew each row down & across. For the life of me I can't find this video, does anyone know where I can find it, Id love to make some for christmas presents. Many thanks Kathy
